The Master was to Dr Who, what Professor Moriarty was to Sherlock Holmes – a worthy adversary. The person who is most remembered and revered in this role: Roger Delgado.
In real life, Roger and Jon Pertwee were close friends, but on 18 June 1973, Roger sadly died in a car accident, aged only 55. (Read more on Wikipedia)
